We go deep

underwater diving photography ocean black and white monochrome Record Italian freediver Linda Paganelli, ascending in front of one of the caves in the Ras Mohammed National Park just south of Sharm el-Sheikh. This cave when viewed from inside revealed the silhouette of lady from the Victorian era. Look closely...she is wearing a wide dress, a hat and has one arm on her hip (the other holding a purse). Ras Mohammad national park is considered to be one of the best dive locations in the world. It is situated at the southern most tip of the Sinai Peninsula, with the Gulf of Suez on the west and the Gulf of Aqaba to the east.

velodrom london olypmics games stadium biking bicycle arena timber architecture facade sloping organic curve beautiful architectural photography London firm Hopkins Architects have completed the Velodrome, the first of the five permanent venues on the Olympic Park for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The hyperbolic paraboloid-shaped steel-framed structure sits on a 360 degree glazed concourse at entry level, and is clad in timber with little apertures to allow for natural ventilation. The lightweight, double-curving, cable-net roof structure was designed to reflect the shape of the cycling track. 6,000 seats are located all the way around the track and are split into an upper and lower tier by the glazed concourse. 48,000 cubic metres of material was excavated to create the bowl in which the building sits. The London 2012 Velodrome will host the Olympic and Paralympic indoor cycling events and also includes changing rooms, retail facilities, workshop and a viewing concourse.
